Union of Municipalities of Türkiye Delegation Made a Study Visit to Brussels

Within the cooperation of Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Secretariat General for EU Affairs, "Municipalities are prepared for European Union" Project is carried out in order to strengthen the administrative capacities of our municipalities and to enhance their awareness in EU related subjects. Within the framework of this project, a study visit, with the participation of 19 Mayors, 2, Deputy Mayors and 8 Municipal Councillors, was made to Brussels on 26-29 June 2011. During this visit, meetings were held with Council of European Municipalities and Regions, the Committe of the Regions, the Brussels Office of Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, Head of Türkiye Desk in European Commission - Jean-Christophe FILORI and member of the European Parliament İsmail ERTUÐ.
