A Cooperation Protocol has been Signed Between EUSG and Beyoglu Municipality

The opening ceremony of Beyoğlu Municipality Youth Center was realized with the participation of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ and Beyoğlu Mayor Ahmet Misbah Demircan. In the opening speech, Bağıþ expressed his view that Beyoğlu Youth Center will be the meeting point of the youth in the region with culture and arts.

In Beyoğlu Youth Center, a wide variety of activities including student exchange programmes, environment and summer camps, self-improvement and career-development seminars, sport activities such as swimming and sailing, university preparation courses and trips to universities for high school students will be organized.

Within the scope of the Municipalities Preparing for the EU Project, which is conducted by the EUSG with the purpose of raising the institutional capacities of our municipalities and their awareness on the EU process, a cooperation protocol was signed on 26 June 2011 between the EUSG and Beyoğlu Municipality.

Through the protocol signed by Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ and Beyoğlu Mayor Ahmet Misbah Demircan, an EU Information Office open to the public has been founded within the center. In the upcoming period, also various information meetings, talks, seminars and competitions on the subject of the EU coordinated by the Office will be organized. The EUSG will provide both material and educational support for the events conducted by the Office.
