Egemen Bağış Awarded with the Italy's Order of Merit

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ was awarded with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic on June 2, 2011. Egemen Bağıþ, who was awarded with Italy's Order of Ufficale in 2005, was decorated with the Order of Commendatore this time for his contributions to Türkiye-Italy relations and his determined attitude in Türkiye's EU membership process. Minister Bağıþ received the order of Merit of the Italian Republic from the Italian Ambassador in Ankara, Gianpaolo Scarante.
