EIPA Seminar was held for Focal Points for EU Affairs in Provinces

Within the framework of our bilateral cooperation with the Embassy of Netherlands, a seminar about "EU Institutions and Policies" was held at European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastrciht, Netherlands on 1-3 March 2011. Under the presidency of General Secretariat for EU Affairs Deputy Secretary General Mr. Mehmet CANGİR, nineteen (19) Deputy Governors, who are Focal Points for EU Affairs in Provinces, participated in the seminar. In the scope of the seminar, EU institutions, decision-making process, neigborhood policy, structural funds, EU Budget and EU-Türkiye relations after the Lisbon Treaty were studied and on March 3, 2011 a trip to Brussells was organized and meetings with some representatives from EU Commission and EU Parliament were held.
