Joint Monitoring Committee Meeting Was Held
Joint Monitoring Committee Meeting, which is held at least twice a year properly, was held at EUSG premises on 2 February 2011 with the participation from EC, EUD and all relevant institutions in order to overview studies of all DIS(decentralized implementation system) institutions and to review the achievements of objectives and results of the programmes, to propose corrective actions as appropriate. Beside these subjects, problematic and risky projects were discussed in this meeting under the chairmanship of Secretary General of EUSG , as NIPAC, Ambassador Mr. Volkan Bozkır. Undersecretary of Treasury, as NAO Mr H. İbrahim Çanakcı and Head of EU Delegation Ambassador Mr Marc Pierini also took part in the meeting. The following headings were elaborated and some concrete decision were taken:
• Providing much more powerful legal basis to IPA institutions and meeting their staff needs in a sustainable manner ,
• Improvement of Monitoring function,
• Enhancement of effectiveness of Programming Function, and
• Elimination of difficulties encountered during the implementation of Framework Agreement
