Egemen Bağış Attended the Yearly Governors Meeting Organised by the Ministry of Interior
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ attended the Governors Meeting on 20 January 2011 organized by the Ministry of Interior. Bağıþ evaluated the output of EUSG's "Governorships Project" for 2010 with the governors of eighty one provinces.
The Chief Negotiator indicated that one thousand two hundred people (including members of EU Offices in the governorships and district governors) have been educated on "EU Funds and PCM Trainings" within the framework of EUSG's "Governorships Project".
Stating that totally one hundred sixty five EU Harmonization, Consultation and Steering Board Meetings were held in 2010, Chief Negotiator also mentioned that ten thousand people have been educated by the governorship EU offices.
Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ announced two new projects to be conducted by EUSG to support the local EU activities namely, "Provinces Preparing for EU Programme" and "Building Capacity for EU Affairs in the Governorships".
