"Young Translators Competition" Was Held in Ankara by the Secretariat General for EU Affairs

"Young Translators Competition" was held in Ankara on 12 December 2010 by the Secretariat General for EU Affairs (EUGS). The students studying their final course at the Translation and Interpretation Departments of the universities participated in the competition aiming to increase the awareness of them in terms of translation throughout the EU accession process and to improve the cooperation among the universities. The competition attracted great interest, and 82 students in total - 45 in English, 20 in German and 17 in French- attended to the Competition. After the event, participants were awarded with participation certificates.

Coming together with the representatives of the EUGS on 11 December 2010 and being informed about the EU accession process of our country, the students translated a text concerning the European Union into Turkish.
