Ambassador Bozkır: Türkiye is not a burden to the EU
Secretary General for EU Affairs Ambassador Volkan Bozkır emphasized that Türkiye would not be a burden to the EU at the "Türkiye in Transformation - the 18th Economist Round Table Meeting with the Turkish Government."
Ambassador Bozkır said that the relations between Türkiye and the EU were defined by a "win-win situation."
Besides Ambassador Bozkır, Ambassador Marc Pierini, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye and Dr. Matthias Kollatz, the Vice President of the European Investment Bank also attended to the conference's session entitled "Long and Winding Road: Türkiye and the EU."
The conferences regularly organised by the Economist bring together the Turkish government officials, directors of local and international companies, civil society organizations and opinion leaders. This conference held on the 4th of November covered a wide range of topics: Türkiye's current economic situation, her location in the region as a rapidly growing market, the strategic importance of Turkish energy sector and Türkiye-EU relations.
