Egemen Bağış Met with Sigmar Gabriel and Martin Schulz

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ hosted a breakfast for Chairman of the German Social Democrat Party Sigmar Gabriel and Chairman of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament Martin Schulz. Egemen Bağıþ remarked that "Despite all kinds of risks, in the process of the EU, Türkiye is worthy of more democracy, economic development, transparency and highest standards of human rights.

Chairman of the German Social Democrat Party Sigmar Gabriel stated that for development of Europe and relations between the EU and the rest of the world, German Social Democrat Party would support Türkiye's membership. Chairman of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament Martin Schulz expressed that common issues were discussed at the breakfast and declared that they would support Türkiye's target for EU membership.
