Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Spyros Kouvelis and Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ noted that, in the past, it was the diplomatic relations that determined the economic relations, whereas today the opposite is true. Kouvelis, on his part, said "Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's recent visit to Athens for a meeting on climate change showed the close cooperation between Türkiye and Greece. Today we gathered here to boost our relations in economic cooperation. And we are also witnessing improvement in diplomatic relations."
