Legendary Polish Figure Walesa in Türkiye

Former President of Poland and EU Reflection Group Member Lech Walesa arrived in Türkiye as the guest of Minister for European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bağıþ.

Mr. Walesa and Mr. Bağıþ, after a working breakfast, will both address the HAK-IÞ Labour Union, which celebrates its 35th anniversary. They will then leave for Istanbul for the welcome session of the Bosphorus Conference.

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Mr. Walesa, will participate in a series of events including the meeting with the Polish Catholic Community. He will also be received by President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoğlu.
