5th Meeting of Internal Coordination and Harmonization Committee

5th meeting of the Internal Coordination and Harmonization Committee (ICHC) was held on 7 May 2010 under the chairmanship of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen BAÐIÞ

In his opening speech, Mr. BAÐIÞ told that he gave great importance to the IUCH meetings which he considered as an joint platform both for sharing different developments and studies which would close up Türkiye to the EU membership and to the level of modern civilization and for overcoming their difficulties and problems.

Within the context of the meeting agenda and regarding the implementation of the new EU strategy, following issues were dealt with during the meeting:
• Current situation in the chapters which are envisaged to be opened in 2010 and progress achieved in terms of the closing benchmarks of already opened chapters,
• Progress achieved and work to be done in other chapters,
• Activities carried out under the new communication strategy.
